Pedro Perea (April 22, 1852 – January 11, 1906) was a sheep rancher, politician and banker in the Territory of New Mexico. A member of the Republican Party, he served as a delegate to Congress from the Territory of New Mexico from 1899 to 1901. His second wife Fanny Ritter Bandelier was intimately involved with his professional career, most often as a translator. Thomas B. Catron, lawyer and politician, was born on October 6, 1840 in Lafayette County, Missouri. He arrived in New Mexico, 1866 and began a controversial career as lawyer, land speculator, and politician.
